Empowering Africa's Future: Education and Health Initiatives

At the Africa Children's Foundation, we believe that investing in the future of Africa's children is an investment in the continent's prosperity. Our comprehensive programs focus on delivering impactful education programs in Africa and vital health initiatives for African children, creating sustainable change. We invite philanthropists, medical companies, and business leaders to join us in this mission, fostering a healthier, more educated generation.

Current Programs

  • The Cycle

The Africa Children's Foundation's 'The Cycle' program addresses critical public health initiatives in Africa by providing menstrual hygiene products to girls in impoverished West African regions. This project directly supports health initiatives for African children, ensuring they can maintain dignity and continue their education. We aim to break the stigma surrounding menstruation, incorporating health education into our broader education programs in Africa. Philanthropic and medical support is crucial for the sustainable supply of these essential items. We invite businesses to partner in community workshops and logistical support.

  • Empower Her Senegal

The EmpowerHer program, a key part of our education programs in Africa, addresses Senegal's educational disparities by sponsoring girls' yearly tuition. We aim to overcome the lack of educational access, a critical barrier to public health initiatives in Africa as education empowers women. By providing tuition sponsorship, we directly enhance health initiatives for African children, as educated girls contribute to healthier families. Sponsors enable improved literacy and create pathways for girls to thrive within their communities.

  • Orphanage Drive

The Africa Children's Foundation strengthens public health initiatives in Africa by supporting vulnerable children through our Annual Orphanage Food, Clothes, and Toy Drive. We address basic needs, crucial for health initiatives for African children, by providing nourishment, warmth, and joy. These essential resources improve well-being and quality of life, complementing our ongoing education programs in Africa. Since 2019, we’ve distributed supplies to partner orphanages in Senegal, ensuring these children thrive.

  • Ramadan Meal Program

Each year we distribute groceries to families in Kaolack and Dakar during the holy month of Ramadan. These groceries allow families to break their fast at ease without worrying about the economic struggles of food insecurity. After six years of operation, the meal program has become a pillar and something that the communities look forward to.

  • Empower Her Ghana

The Empower Her program will be expanding to Ghana in collaboration with SemegaChange. With two years of successful implementation in Senegal, we are now expanding to other West African countries for the 2025-2026 school year. Through financial sponsorship and strategic partnerships, we aim to equip young girls with the resources they need to succeed academically and become future leaders. In Ghana, we have partnered with the Christian Atsu Education Centre in Senya Beraku, Ghana. The school was created to provide private education to orphans.

Upcoming Programs

  • Health For Her

The Africa Children’s Foundation (ACF) seeks to expand its efforts to tackle women’s health disparities in Senegal through a new initiative. This project builds on our existing work with The Cycle to address period poverty while introducing annual cervical and breast cancer screenings in Senegal's rural regions. The goal is to empower women and girls with access to essential health services, education, and resources that promote overall reproductive and maternal health.

The "Health for Her" initiative addresses critical gaps in women's health in Senegal, focusing on HPV vaccine uptake and improving access to cervical screenings.
